Winter Break Family Fun in Katy, Texas

Active playtime at Monkey Joe's is the perfect way to keep the cabin fever away during winter break! No matter what the weather is like outside, it’s always the perfect temperature at Monkey Joe’s indoor playground.

Fun Winter Break Activities

When the kids are home from school, there are a number of fun things you can do to keep boredom at bay:

Take a trip: You don’t have to go far. Plan a quick weekend getaway to a nearby tourist attraction (maybe choose one you’ve never visited before but always wanted to). If you travel during the winter you’re more likely to find great discounts! A day trip can be fun for the entire family, too, no overnight required. Travel to a nearby holiday market for some last minute shopping or find a seasonal activity going on nearby that the kids will enjoy.

See the lights: Speaking of a holiday activity nearby, wait until sundown and load everyone into the car. Drive around the city (or the neighboring towns if possible) and look for gorgeous holiday light displays. Come home and make some hot chocolate and maybe watch a holiday special or two.

Baking: What goes great with hot chocolate? Christmas cookies! Spend the afternoon or the evening baking Christmas cookies and treats with your kids. They will love being in charge of decorations, and they’ll love being able to sample their work!

Winter Break Exercise

We all know that kids need to stay active, even during winter break. If the weather outside isn’t cooperating, or your kids are complaining about being bored, an indoor playground is the answer. Round up your child’s friends for group play dates or bring your family in for sibling playtime.
