Trick-or-treat tips for the kids

With Halloween just a few days away, one thing is on every child’s mind… trick-or-treating! As kids anxiously anticipate this year’s candy-filled adventure, it’s important for chaperones to enforce a few safety tips for Halloween night. While it is an exciting evening of costumes and candy galore, it’s important to remember these tips to ensure a safe and fun night!

It’s Time for Trick-or-Treating

  • No trips! Make sure your child’s accessories are safe and secure on their person. Things like swords, fairy wings, and capes are a ton of fun, but they can also be easy to trip over, especially in the dark. Help the kiddos out by carrying their accessories when they walk up to doors.
  • Make sure the little ones can be seen in the dark. Add glow sticks, reflective tape or wearable lights to your child’s costume to make sure your children can be seen walking around the neighborhood. Put some glow sticks on a wrist, make a fun necklace or put some tape on an accessory and you should be good to go!
  • Be cautious! If you live in a neighborhood or live in a trick-or-treating community, do your part by paying extra attention to your surroundings when you’re driving on Halloween weekend. You never know what superhero, zombie, or princess may be walking across the street to their next house for candy.

We hope all of our monkey fans have a memorable and exciting Halloween! One thing is for sure, a sugar rush is inevitable once all that Halloween candy is collected. If you need a place to burn off that energy, then head to Monkey Joe’s in Katy for an afternoon of bouncing fun! With an area just for toddlers and a variety of bounce houses and slides, Monkey Joe’s is your go-to place for kid-friendly fun.
