Posted on Apr 15, 2016

Summer's so close you can almost taste it--and kids sure have! As the school year winds down, it's time for day cares, day camps, and other summer programs for kids in Winter Park to gear up. Field trips are a great way to liven up the summer and give the kids in your care a memorable experience, so read on for some tips on making your summer field trips a smashing success!

Step 1: Choose wisely

The first step to planning a hit field trip is choosing a fun activity. There are so many things to do in Winter Park, Florida that you can easily choose something exciting for each week. If you're looking for a field trip that will help your students or campers get active and enjoy some healthy exercise while also having a blast, Monkey Joe's is the place to go.

Our indoor playground is a hit with kids, letting them jump, slide, climb, run, and play in a soft, bouncy jungle of wall-to-wall inflatables. We offer group rates and even have private party rooms, so you can create an outing that fits your group's needs.

Step 2: Prepare parents and kids

A successful field trip depends on having some prep work done well in advance of the actual event. Don't forget to send out permission slips and information to parents, and be sure to give them plenty of time to return the slips or discuss any concerns with you. You may need to make arrangements to accommodate a child's medications or dietary restrictions. And of course, you'll need to make sure everyone wears socks in order to play in our inflatables!

It's also helpful to let kids know ahead of time what to expect from the trip and what you'll expect from them, behavior-wise.

Step 3: Have fun!

Once your group is here, get ready for some serious fun! The kids can run amok in our safe, clean indoor playground environment, and you can feel good knowing that they're having some healthy fun (and tiring themselves out!).
