3 Ways to Help Your Homeschool Kids Get Active in Winter Park

Posted on Sep 09, 2016

Being a homeschool parent can be incredibly rewarding... And incredibly challenging! You have to wear so many hats every day--Mom, teacher, principal, coach, and so much more. When it comes to your children's physical education, it can be hard to think of new and exciting ways to get them moving. Fortunately that's our specialty at Monkey Joe's Winter Park, where our motto is "Happy Hearts = Active Kids!"

Play all day, any day

One of the easiest ways to get your kids moving is to visit our indoor playground here in Winter Park, Florida! With inflatable slides, obstacles, and jumps packed wall-to-wall, your kids can run, jump, climb, and slide to their hearts' content, getting hours of social, active playtime in a safe, indoor environment. You don't have to worry about the weather, and we offer concessions so you and your kiddos can grab lunch or a snack to re-energize.

In addition to walk-in play, we also offer great group rates and events. Plan a field trip with your homeschool group or even a "class" party to celebrate the kids' hard work!

Does your child have an interest in a sport? Enrolling them in a youth league is a great way to meet new people, have fun, and get plenty of healthy exercise! Check out Orange County's Parks and Recreation site to see which youth sports leagues are enrolling.

Try something new

One of the best ways to keep kids interested in being active is to change things up with new experiences and skills. Take a parents and kids yoga class, try a martial art, or go rock climbing! There are so many ways to be active, and trying as many as possible will help your kids develop a lifelong love of exercise that will benefit their health and wellbeing for a lifetime.
