How To Plan A Great Birthday Party

Posted on Sep 08, 2017

Fall is a busy time! Between the chaos of back to school and preparations for all the holidays right around the corner, how do you squeeze in a birthday celebration? Here are some tips for planning a fall birthday party!

  • Location, Location, Location! Where you host a birthday party will have a huge impact on how much planning and work you need to do. Hosting a party at Monkey Joe’s Pointe Orlando means we handle setup, cleanup, food, drinks, decorations, invitations, and activities. We even provide a dedicated Party Pro.
  • Time. The best time of day to host a party depends on a lot of things--primarily the age of the kids involved. If your guests are still at an age where naptime is a consideration, remember to schedule around that. If you host a party at lunchtime, make sure to provide lunch. The last thing you want is a party full of hungry, tired kids!
  • Who to Invite? Birthday party invitations can be tricky, especially for school-age children. While you don’t have to invite everyone in your child’s class, it’s best to make sure your child doesn’t flaunt their party in front of people who aren’t invited. Monkey Joe’s party packages come with online invitations, which makes everything easier except convincing guests to RSVP.
  • Age Considerations. Don’t overload your child--remember, young kids in particular have pretty simple desires. A good rule of thumb when it comes to parties is to use the guest of honor’s age as a guide. For instance, invite seven friends to a 7-year-old’s birthday.
