3 Safety Tips to Remember for a Fun & Safe Halloween
Posted on Oct 06, 2017
Halloween may be one of the most exciting days of the year for kids. They get to dress up, hang out with friends, and receive buckets of candy! But, it’s important to be safe. So, the team at Monkey Joe’s Pointe Orlando put together a few tips to help you and your kiddos have a safe Halloween.

Trick or Treat Before Sunset
Take your kids trick or treating before the sun sets. By doing this, you will be walking from house to house while there is still light. This will minimize potential accidents that come with walking in the dark. (Plus, your kids will have first choice on candy!)
Bring Two Goodie Bags
Each year, kids bring home pillowcases full of candy after trick or treating. However, this year, let your little one carry a smaller bag and you carry the pillowcase. When you get home, you can hide the pillowcase full of candy and give them candy in intervals. This will ensure they don’t eat all of their candy at once and get sick.
Knock on Friendly Doors
Since your child is receiving candy from other people, it’s important that you know who lives in each house. If you’re not sure who lives there, pass by the house. Also, if there are no decorations outside the house and the porch light is off, it is a good indicator that they do not want anyone to ring their doorbell.
Since Halloween falls on a Tuesday this year, bring your kiddos to Monkey Joe’s Pointe Orlando on Wednesday to bounce off some of their energy! We’re affordable, and we’re open every day of the week (including Halloween)!
