Posted on Feb 15, 2017

Your heart is very important to your body, it’s what keeps you going and allows the rest of your body to function as it should. When you take care of your heart, you're taking care of your body. There are a lot of reasons to exercise and keep your heart healthy. Exercising comes with great benefits and, of course, a healthier heart is one of them. With it being American Heart month, the Monkey Joe's team thought it would be fun to share a few ways that your heart can benefit from exercise. Here are five ways that your heart benefits from exercise that you may not have known about.

1. Exercise causes you to have a healthier and stronger heart; it’s a muscle and it gains strength when you exercise.
2. Exercise will help the heart to make sure blood is flowing correctly so you have stronger bones and muscles.
3. It allows you to have a leaner body which means the heart won’t overwork itself.
4. Exercise can lower blood pressure which helps the heart tremendously.
5. Exercise can lower your blood cholesterol level which is also good for the heart.

These are great reasons for you to exercise, but it’s not just for adults…kids too! While you may be thinking of traditional exercise, that doesn’t have to be the case, especially for children! Bring them to Monkey Joe’s and allow them to get great exercise that they can benefit from in many ways. Their hearts are just as important and it’s great for them to be able to have a great time while getting in the exercise that their hearts will benefit from. Bring them in and begin the heart healthy lifestyle!
