Creating More Family Time In 2016 - Monkey Joe’s Kenosha

It's almost 2016, and Monkey Joe's Kenosha is ready for it's best year ever! Each year we all come up with a New Years resolution (some choosing more than one). This year, we've decided ours is to get more families into the Kenosha location, as we love watching families spend quality time together! If your New Years resolution is similar to ours in spending more time with family, we've got a few tips for maximizing your time in 2016. 

  • Make time for what's important. It seems like we have a million tasks to do every day. But with each daily checklist, go down your bulleted list and ask yourself this with each task: "what's the worst that could happen if I don't get this done?" If there aren't serious consequences, prioritize and move on to the ones that are more important, especially if they involve family. It seems impossible to get every thing done sometimes and you can't be superman; but if it's important enough, you can make time!
  • Use your resources. If you can rely on other people to help you get tasks done, do it! See if the laundry place will deliver, or get a baby sitter even if it's just to run errands. Be sure to thank these people later for helping you!
  • Make fun out of daily chores. Even tasks as simple as folding laundry or putting the toys away can keep the kids included! Let them help and even create fun games for each task.
  • Plan a weekly activity. Find a weekly time slot where everyone in the family can get together, and make it a weekly tradition. For example, set aside Monday nights as movie nights, or go out for ice cream on Thursday afternoons!
