4 Healthy Habits For Healthy Kids

Posted on Jan 25, 2017

Especially as we're in cold and flu season, a child's overall health is incredibly important in keeping them healthy. But it's more than just washing their hands; a child's health depends on physical, mental and emotional health. Here are a few healthy tips for healthy kids!

  • Get plenty of sleep. Kids should get an average of 10 hours of sleep per night. It's important that they're not only getting enough sleep, but they're in a solid routine of going to bed and waking up at the same time every day (we promise, this helps their mood)!
  • Good habits. Make sure your kids are washing their hands, not sharing cups, straws, toothbrushes, etc. and overall maintain good personal hygeine.
  • Eating well. This is always a challenge to get kids to eat healthy, but it's doable! They love colors, shapes and patterns, so make it fun. This also includes hydrating, so try incorporating fun ice cubes or fruit in their water.
  • Plenty of exercise. Incorporating at least 30 minutes of exercise into their daily routine will do wonders for the immune system.
