New Year’s Resolutions for Your Family

Posted on Dec 16, 2015

As the year comes to a close, it's time for the tradition of staying up late (or joining us for Noon Year's Eve!), watching fireworks, and maybe even making resolutions that, stereotypically, no one will keep. However, New Year's resolutions don't have to be that way. Consider getting the whole family involved in making goals together; the accountability the whole family shares can help achieve the resolutions and family resolutions can help the children learn how to make and achieve goals.

Some resolutions your family may consider are:

Get more exercise! Go for walks with the whole family; take the children somewhere like the park where they can play hard. At Monkey Joe's, our inflatable indoor playground encourages kids to jump and play for hours of fun exercise without the heat of summer or the chill of winter.

Spend more time with friends. Social interactions are important for mental health for both children and adults. A play date ensures the children have an activity; you may consider bringing them to Monkey Joe's where the children can play while you and your fellow parents can relax and catch up and everyone gets a little social time.

Make time for fun! Play is an important part of learning for children as they explore the world and grow their imaginations; fun is good for adults now and then, too, since as they say, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Monkey Joe's indoor playground can ease this goal with the Frequent Jumper Card, offering big savings for frequent visitors!

This year, make your New Year's resolutions a family affair, and let Monkey Joe's add some healthy fun to your child's year in 2016!
