Loudoun County Easter Events for Kids

Posted on Mar 04, 2016

Spring is just around the corner, and it's time to start making plans for Easter! Fortunately there are so many great Easter events to choose from in Northern Virginia, so you can make some special memories with your kids. Read on for some ideas to help your whole family celebrate the season.

Sensory Egg Hunt and Flashlight Egg Hunt

Don't miss the First Annual Sensory Egg Hunt coming up on March 18th at Franklin Park! Kids with disabilities and their siblings are invited to take part in a special egg hunt for ages 5-14 years old starting at 6:30 pm. (Organizers ask that participating families arrive by 6 pm.)

After the Sensory Egg Hunt, there will be a Flashlight Egg Hunt, also for ages 5-14. This popular event is back for another year, giving kids the chance to hunt down fun prizes in Franklin Park after dark! Make sure to bring your own flashlights. (The fun starts at 8:30 pm but please arrive by 8 pm.)

Visit the Loudoun County Parks and Recreation Calendar for more information.

Easter EGGstravaganza

Join us at Monkey Joe's Dulles on Wednesday, March 23rd from 2 pm to close for $7 admission and an EGGcellent time! Easter Bunny Joe will be on hand to give each child their very own prize-filled egg, and there will be lots of jumping, bouncing, sliding fun on the inflatables! Make sure to bring your camera so you can capture the smiles and get a photo op with Joe in his Easter Bunny best!

Egg Hunt and Marshmallow Harvest

Head to Great Country Farms on April 2nd and 3rd for the Egg Hunt and Marshmallow Harvest! This fun, family-friendly event will feature marshmallows "growing" right on the trees, which kids can then roast over a bonfire with Farmer Bob. There will be multiple egg hunts divided by age group, with over 18,000 treat-filled eggs. Your kids are sure to love meeing spring chicks and baby farm animals, and you can top it all off with a wagon ride!
