Banish the Wintertime Blues With These Indoor Activities

Posted on Jan 29, 2016

If your little ones are getting restless and a bit stir crazy now that the weather is just not cooperating, the right indoor kids' activities can be just the thing to save your sanity!

When it's too cold to play outside, or when your kids have grown bored of building snowmen and throwing snowballs, never fear, there is plenty to do inside! Spend some quality time with the kids, thinking up some creative games, or head to Monkey Joe's for engaging indoor play time!

Indoor Kids' Activities

  1. There's nothing better than a 'spa day'!  Kids love being pampered with (and by) Mom!  Whip up a face mask or two, do each other's hair, and maybe paint their toes! Have kids who would never enjoy a spa day?  Try a video game tournament! No matter what game system you have, competition is always fun!
  2. For those who are simply tired of staying home, head to the indoor playground at Monkey Joe's Dulles! Our inflatable indoor playground is perfect for kids who need to let off some steam. Let your kids bounce, run, jump and tackle the obstacle courses. It's the perfect place to allow your kids to get active, no matter what the weather is like outside. We even offer a toddler area that is great for littler kids!
  3. Finally, why not plan a picnic indoors? Grab a tablecloth or blanket, a picnic basket if you have one, and organize a "picnic menu." Finger foods are fun for kids, so whip some up, throw the blanket or tablecloth on the floor in front of the TV, and laugh the afternoon away!

What are your ideas for indoor activities that keep kids happy?
