Are You Prepared to Bounce Back to School?

Posted on Aug 11, 2017

Summer seems to get shorter and shorter every year. And while we could spend hours talking about where the time goes and how it manages to fly by so fast, it’s more productive to think about back-to-school preparations instead!

There might be some details that you have covered, like who your children’s teachers are and which friends are in their class again, but what about all those other details to get your family off to a great start?

Early to Bed, Early to Rise

We all prepare differently but when it comes down to it, the essentials are the same for every family. When summer ends, you and your kids will need to get back into the routine of the school year. That means an early wake-up call for everyone and probably an earlier bedtime, too.

Try to ease your kids back into the swing of things by getting an early to bed, early to rise regimen down a couple of weeks before the first day. It’ll make everything easier when the big day comes.

School Materials Checklist

Creating a list of everything your kid needs for the coming school year can help ensure nothing slips between the cracks. There’s nothing scarier than starting a new year with a feeling of being ill-prepared. Ease your child’s anxiety by making sure they have ample writing utensils, notebooks, rulers, calculators, a couple of new outfits, and maybe even a fun treat to help them ease into the school year.

Blow Off Some Steam

Here at Monkey Joe’s Dulles, we believe it’s important to let your kids run a little wild before the year starts back up! In fact… we’re letting the monkey out of the cage here, but keep your ears open for details about our upcoming “So Long to Summer” event coming up later this month! That’s all we can say for now, but trust us, it is going to be wild! Stay tuned and in the meantime, stop by and party big with us at Monkey Joe’s in Dulles!
