Monthly Exceptional Kids Night for Special Needs Children

Posted on Mar 30, 2016

We are excited to announce the kick-off of our new Exceptional Kids Night! This evening will be for a group of really special little monkeys, children with special needs. So what exactly does it mean when a child has special needs? It just means that they are unique in their own way. Some children need a little extra support getting around, communicating, or learning. These different physical and mental traits are what make some children extra special! No matter the case, our special needs night is for any special needs child and their family.

Exceptional Kids Night is all about bringing kids and parents together! Children will have a blast playing with other children with a similar diagnosis and will enjoy making new friends! Parents will also enjoy the evening knowing their child is playing in a safe and clean environment.

We are especially excited to kick-off this new special evening during Autism Awareness month which is the month of April. Autism is recognized as a special need. The Autism Society defines autism spectrum disorder as a complex developmental disability affecting a person’s ability to communicate, and interact with others. The Autism Society month is focused on promoting autism awareness, inclusion and self-determination for all!

Here are the specifics of our new Exceptional Kids Night:

  • It will take place on the last Monday of each month from 6-8pm

  • Admission is discounted to $5 per child

  • Special needs children and their families will have the Monkey Joe’s playground all to themselves so that there will be fewer distractions and a smaller crowd!
