Monkey Joe’s Supports Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation in Coral Springs, FL

Posted on May 28, 2016

June is a big month at Monkey Joe’s in Coral Springs, Florida! We are excited to announce our month long partnership with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. When you visit our playground during the month of June, you will have the opportunity to support a worthwhile foundation, educate your little one about the importance of giving back, and enjoy unlimited playtime on our playground of inflatables.

About Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation

Alex’s Lemonade Stand was created by a young girl named Alexandra (Alex) Scott. She started her very own lemonade stand for a pretty special reason. She wanted to raise money to support doctors who help children with cancer, children like her. Alex was diagnosed with neuroblastoma right before her first birthday. But she didn’t let her diagnosis hold her down! She was devoted to helping others, and she did just that. Alex passed away in 2004, but not before she raised $1million in support of childhood cancer and research. Alex’s legacy lives on through her family who run what is now Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.

The Alex’s Lemonade Stand Mission

The mission of Alex’s Lemonade Stand is to raise money and awareness of childhood cancer causes, primarily for research into new treatments and cures, and to encourage and empower others, especially children, to get involved and make a difference for children with cancer.
