Come to Our Lemonade Stand!

Are you looking for ways to beat the heat and have fun while giving back this summer? Join us at Monkey Joe’s Coral Springs as we raise money for Alex’s Lemonade Stand all through the month of June!

It’s not an actual lemonade stand, so if you’d like a drink you’ll need to visit our concession stand. Instead, it’s a fundraiser for the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting childhood cancer. Everyone who donates during our fundraiser gets to write their name on a lemon to put on our wall. We will also have face painting and fabulous Monkey Joe’s merchandise to celebrate, as well as all the active fun you’ve come to expect from Monkey Joe’s.

Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation was begun by Alex Scott, a young cancer patient, when she was just 4 years old. She opened a lemonade stand with her older brother’s help during a break in her treatment, telling her parents she wanted to give the money to doctors so they could “help other kids, like they helped me.” That first day they raised over $2,000! Since then, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation has raised over $140 million in her memory. Funding is used for research grants and quality of life programs for pediatric cancer patients and their families.
