Supporting Alex’s Lemonade Stand in Camp Hill at Monkey Joe’s

Posted on Jun 01, 2016

During the month of June, we are partnering with Alex’s Lemonade Stand to raise awareness and much needed funds to support ill children and their families.

What is Alex’s Lemonade Stand?

It is a foundation that support children with cancer and their families. It was founded by Alexandra (Alex) Scott, a young girl diagnosed with neuroblastoma right before her first birthday. Despite her diagnosis, Alex was determined to help other kids like her. She set up her very own lemonade stand where she sold refreshing lemonade for a small cost. Alex donated the funds collected to the doctors helping other children facing similar medical battles.

Alex passed away in 2004; however, her family continues Alex’s legacy through Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.

What they do.

The mission of Alex’s Lemonade Stand is to raise money and awareness of childhood cancer causes, primarily for research into new treatments and cures, and to encourage and empower others, especially children, to get involved and make a difference for children with cancer.

How can you help.
