Keep Your Little Monkey Safe this Halloween!

Posted on Oct 20, 2016

We can’t wait to celebrate Halloween at Monkey Joe’s on Friday, October 28! Our all-day Halloween party is sure to be faBOOlous! It’s the best way to celebrate early in a safe setting - the Monkey Joe’s playground!

In addition to celebrating at Monkey Joe’s, your little one may also want to trick-or-treat in your neighborhood with their friends. That’s part of the fun of Halloween, after all - the candy you get from going door-to-door in your favorite costume. But this time of year is filled with goblins and ghouls so safety should be top of mind for you and your child. Here are a few safety tips to consider before your child heads out trick-or-treating...

  • Have an adult present: whether you plan to trick-or-treat with your child or if they plan to go in a group, always be sure an adult is present to keep a watchful eye on the children

  • Wear name tags: put your phone number on a name tag or bracelet for your child to wear with their costume. This is an important safety precaution in case your child becomes separated from their group

  • Dress in bright colors: wearing bright neon colors will help your child be seen in the dark of night!

  • Ditch masks for face paint: masks can prohibit your child’s breathing, so instead opt for really creative face paint

  • Plan your route: planning your child’s trick-or-treating route in advance will help your child stay on track and help you know where they are at all times, especially if you don’t plan to be with their group

We hope you found these trick-or-treating safety tips helpful! Consider sharing these with your little one before they head out on October 31. From our entire Monkey Joe’s Camp Hill family, we are wishing you a fun and safe Halloween!
