Four Ideas For A Family Fun Fourth (Whew)!

Posted on Jun 22, 2017

Independence Day is the ultimate summer holiday for everyone; backyard BBQ's, fireworks, lakeside and poolside sippin', and friends and family all around. We've come up with a few of our favorite July 4th activities that you and the kids can do together to celebrate the holiday!

1. Bake! There's a ton of awesome, creative and unique recipes out there for July 4th themed treats. Check out a few of these, which include popsicles, popcorn, jello and more
2. Play Games. Get creative! Put together a tub of water balloons, play under the sprinkler, break out the cornhole board or get some sidewalk chalk. The options are endless and it'll keep the kids active and entertained all day!
3. Crafts. We've seen a bunch of awesome ideas on Pinterest. Here's a link to some fun ideas including homemade headbands, popsicle stick flags and more.
4. Attend local fireworks. Almost every town in the country has some sort of fireworks display or parade. Here's a link to all the happenings in the Fox Valley area!

We hope everyone has a fantastic holiday weekend! Do you have any traditions with the family on July 4th? Share with us! And as always, Monkey Joe's Appleton has plenty of summer activities for the kids (and it's air conditioned)! Visit us in the jungle this summer for a week day playdate. We'll see you soon!
