Plan a winter playdate for your kids

Are your kids going stir crazy? Beat the winter blues and keep them happy and active with a playdate at Monkey Joe's! The amount of active play your children gets drops drastically in winter months. It's so easy to curl up on the couch and wish away winter. Why not plan a winter playdate at Monkey Joe's instead?

How do you plan the ultimate playdate? Author and mother Jennifer Bingham Hull encourages you to follow these tips:

Let your child pick his or her friend.
Older children relish independent play, but if you have toddlers, head to our Mini Monkey Zone.
Don't let kiddos get hangry! Monkey Joe's offers tasty food and drinks at our concessions stand.
Be prepared: Ask the friend's parent about important information like if his or her child has food allergies or other special considerations. Get the parent's contact information if he or she won't be sticking around for the entire playdate (just in case you need to get in touch).
Lastly, enjoy the hassle-free convenience of a playdate away from your home. There's no need to clean the house before and after. Your young child won't feel the need to freak out if another child wants to play with his or her toys. You and the friend's parent can converse while supervising. Or make a plan for the other parent to show up at a specific time to pick up his or her child, so the other parent can get some free time to run errands. (Don't expect that parent to return the favor, but hopefully, he or she will someday!)

Walk-ins are welcome whether it's a weekday or weekend! Schedule a playdate at Monkey Joe's to add some socialization to a hum-drum winter while getting in necessary active play, too.
