Fall is finally here! At Monkey Joe’s we love this time of year because it has great weather, beautiful leaves, delicious treats, and one of our favorite holidays: Halloween!
Fright-Free Fun at Monkey Joe's
Halloween costumes are welcome at Monkey Joe’s! We’d love to see what your little monkeys are dressed up as this year. But before you load up the car, remember that all costumes need to be safe for bouncing, both for kids and the inflatables. That means no loose fabric, no pins, and no wide or sharp edges that might hurt you or other kids. It's best to leave easily lost accessories at home. And don’t forget to make sure that all kids have socks!
Costume Safety for Kids
While you’re making plans for Halloween this October, keep costume safety in mind. If kids are trick-or-treating at night, make sure their costumes are easily visible from the road. Consider adding reflective tape or glow bracelets to dark costumes to make it easier for drivers to see kids. If costumes include masks, make sure the eye holes are big enough for kids to see completely. If you’re using makeup on kids, make sure it’s facepaint or makeup quality - never use craft paint on skin. Of course, don’t forget to check candy before kids eat it. Before you head out, put on comfy shoes and eat a good dinner with lots of veggies to give kids energy for trick-or-treating!
