Next month, Monkey Joe’s will proudly partner once again with Alex’s Lemonade Stand to raise money and awareness of childhood cancer research. At 4 years old, cancer patient Alex Scott decided that she wanted to hold a lemonade stand. Her goal was to raise money to give to doctors so they could “help other kids, like they helped me.” With the support of her family, Alex’s first lemonade stand raised $2,000. By the time Alex passed away at 8 years old, she had helped raise over $1 million for childhood cancer research.

Today, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation continues her legacy through national fundraising to find a cure for childhood cancer, and by demonstrating that no matter how young or old, we all have the power to make a positive difference in the world.

That’s where you come in! This June, we will be spotlighting kids who make a difference in their communities, and we need your help. Head over to Facebook and leave a comment explaining how your child, grandchild, niece, nephew, neighbor, student, or any kid you know gives back to their community. They could win the chance to be featured on our blog, as well as some awesome Monkey Joe’s swag!

If your nominee is selected, we will send you a brief questionnaire to fill out and return within a week, along with a photo of the child to be featured on our blog and social media. We’ll also be giving away some random prizes just for entering, so don’t be shy--tell us about your hero kid!
