No matter where you go, it’s cold out there! It’s important for kids to stay active in the winter, but we know it’s a challenge when the couch is so cozy. So how can parents entertain kids when it’s cold outside? We have 4 ideas, no couches required!

4 Ways to Entertain Kids in the Winter

  1. Build a blanket fort. What kid doesn’t love creating a secret hideaway, storing it with secret treasures, and burrowing through the tunnels on a dreary winter day? If you want to make a day of it, layer the floor with pillows and settle in for snacks and family bonding.
  2. Dance ‘til you drop. Get Christmas music out of your system with a dance party to end all dance parties, or play your favorite new song of 2017 and see which kid can come up with the silliest moves. Winner gets to judge the next round!
  3. Get crafty. Kids crafts are a great way to encourage creativity and keep your child’s brain working during winter break. Help them do the math to get the right amount of supplies, then unleash their artistic side!
  4. Monkey around. Monkey Joe’s makes a fun play day, rain, shine, snow, or sleet. Let your kids run, bounce, and play away their excess energy on our inflatable jungle. They may even make a new friend while they’re here!

Who’s ready to play? Don’t let winter weather get in the way of a great time. We’ll see you at Monkey Joe’s!
