If your family homeschools, you know that it can be both rewarding and challenging to meet your kids' many educational needs, from academics to socialization to physical fitness. Today, both adults and kids struggle with a more sedentary lifestyle, with more hours spent staring at screens and sitting still, whether at a desk or on the couch. One of the keys to getting kids (or adults, for that matter) more active is to make exercise exciting, and that's just what we aim to do here at Monkey Joe's!
Our indoor playground and party facilities are filled with inflatable jumps, obstacles, and slides that invite kids to play hard for hours. Spacious indoor facilities, private party rooms, and plenty of seating for parents make Monkey Joe's a great place to host group events without worrying about the weather. If you're looking to connect with other homeschool families in your area, check out these ideas for homeschool events, and contact your nearest Monkey Joe's to get started.
Plan a group play date
If you're part of a homeschool co-op or group, plan a regular playdate to get everyone together for a few hours of fun and friendship. Choose a regular time every month (like the 2nd Monday of the month) or every week and both you and your kids will have something to look forward to on a regular basis! We make playdates affordable with great group rates, and we can even provide lunch.
Expand your circle with a homeschool meetup
If you want to meet more homeschool families in your community, host a meetup at one of our indoor playgrounds! You can find and connect with other local parents on social media, put flyers up at neighborhood parks, museums, churches, etc., and even send the information in to your town's community calendar. Planning a meetup with a fun, affordable activity will draw more people and help you make connections with other local homeschoolers. Your kids will love making new friends, and you can even swap tips and ideas with other homeschool parents.
Throw a monthly birthday bash
Another fun way to liven up your kids' homeschool experience is by planning a monthly birthday bash! Join together with the other parents in your homeschool organization to throw a group birthday party for all of the kids who have a birthday that month. They'll love feeling special and celebrated, and everyone will enjoy an excuse to get together for fun, food, and playtime. We have great birthday party packages that make the whole thing easy, and you can even book a party online!
